Brigette

Brigette Niedringhaus

started practicing yoga at age 16 and has been going strong ever since!  Her classes are playful, thought provoking and challenging, while also detailed and down-to-earth. Brigette strongly believes the best teachers are also the best students. She is constantly learning and growing her own practice to spread the joy of yoga with her students. Brigette completed the Yoga Alliance teacher certification in 2006 and has studied with many Senior Anusara teachers including John Friend, Jaime Allison, Desiree Rumbaugh, and Senior Vinyasa Teacher, Mitchel Bleier. Enthusiastic and deeply committed, Brigette’s love for Anusara shines through in her classes.  She is continuously working hard toward her Anusara certification.

Brigette is currently on the road, teaching yoga for Kashi’s Day of Change

tour.  She travels around the US teaching people how to bring yoga into

their lives and build an active lifestyle.  Brigette will return to St. Louis in

November (2008) and teach regular scheduled classes and workshops at

STY.  Check out Brigette’s blog for stories and photos of her traveling

adventures: www.yogaontheroad.blogspot.com

Cameron Metheney

embodies “YogicDoula.” Her extensive prenatal experience makes her the perfect companion on the journey through pregnancy. Cameron understands the importance of breath and body connections. She links yoga postures to the breath that will lead students to new discoveries, bringing awareness to the mind, body and spirit, and also the spirit of your baby. Cameron completed her teacher training with Yoga Alliance in 2001. Her love for Vinyasa yoga led her down the prenatal yoga path. In 2004, she began teaching prenatal yoga and practicing privately as a doula in St. Louis. Cameron has practiced with a number of world-respected yogis including Rod Stryker, Jaime Sanchez and Jamie Alison. "Mamaste"

Carrie

Carrie Dobsch

believes that it is through integration of Body and Mind that the true spiritual nature of yoga is revealed. During the five years of her yoga journey she has been exposed to many styles and has cultivated a strong meditation practice. Safe and nurturing for beginning students, her teaching style provides an environment for students of all levels to deepen their practice.

Denise Motta

Was nicknamed "Constant Motion" when she was a child. She grew up to

be a competitive gymnast and college level physical education instructor. She has taught movement classes for 23 years and has taught yoga for 10 years. As well as being certified in the education of yoga and pilates, she is
also a certified personal trainer thru NSCA. She has studied yoga with a
diverse grouping of teachers including Baron Baptiste, Rod Stryker, Shiva
Rea and Sean Corn. Her classes aid and encourage all physical levels,
ages and types by combining the methods of B.K.S. Iyengar, Vinyasa, and
the deep, grounded and earthly asanas of Yin Yoga. When not practicing

or studying yoga, Denise enjoys biking, hiking, weight training and the

Rocky Mountains of Colorado. Much joy is also derived from her students,
especially seeing them get excited about yoga.

Kathryn

Kathryn Heitzenroeder

has been practicing yoga for over twelve years. Eight years ago she received her teachers' training at the Solar Yoga Center in St. Louis. To continue her yoga education, Kathryn has a strong practice of her own, which includes yoga workshops, yoga camps and a daily yoga routine. She continues to learn and evolve from the support of her own teachers. Kathryn's classes include mediation, a detailed asana work out and a guided relaxation. Her teaching promotes a strong foundation of alignment focusing on the breath and movement. The classes are a combination of Hatha, Anusara and Vinyasas. Most classes are open level. Beginners are welcome.

Sarah

Keith Mitchell

has been practicing Astanga yoga since 2000, kundalini since 2002 and Anusara since 2006. All three influence his traditional teaching style and personal practice. Keith studied with the first Americans to learn the Astanga system and currently is practicing the second series and the beginning postures of the third series. Using the Prana Vinysa teachings as well as the alignment principles from Anusara, Keith’s classes encourage students to draw from within while bring heart-centered energy to the surface. Keith continues to draw inspiration from the teachings of Desiree Rumbaugh, Mitchel Bleier, Jan Herzog, Shiva Rea and Saul David Raye. Yoga has helped him gain bothmental and physical strength. By digging

deep and working through a practice, Keith feels you can discover who

you truly are and continue to grow as a being, spreading the light that is

deep within.

Sarah

Kim Winn

found yoga brightened her mind and made her feel incredible. Bikram was Kim’s first exposure to yoga six years ago. After a couple of weeks, she was absolutely hooked. Kim’s passion for dance helps explain her draw to the many styles of power yoga. Kim began teacher training 4 years ago at Yogafit and continues to study many different styles including Baptiste Power Vinyasa yoga. She lives with a yoga attitude on and off her mat. Kim loves to cook which also means she adores to eat. She also loves photography and trying new things.

Jennifer Jones

Sarah

began practicing yoga 5 years ago, and she recently finished her 200 hr Yoga Alliance teacher training, as well as a Mind, Body, Stress Reduction Program. Jennifer has experienced a variety of benefits in her life as a result of her personal yoga practice, and through teaching she hopes to help her students discover the many joys of yoga in their own lives. Her teaching style is appropriate for many ages and levels, and she encourages students to always listen to and respect their own body. She believes the practice of honoring one's self on the mat will lead the student toward greater understanding and compassion to him or herself as well as to others. Jennifer also holds the belief

that the union of the breath with the body's movements helps

to reunite one with his or her true nature and the Divine within.
